  • Teen's Dentistry

Navigating the challenges of oral health during the teen years sometimes requires parents to take a proactive approach. As your family's dental partner, we understand the unique issues teens face, from changing habits to potential neglect of oral care. Our preventive visits every six months offer an opportunity to coach and reinforce positive efforts, building rapport in a professional and friendly setting. We provide essential tips for home care, such as limiting sugary drinks and emphasizing the importance of a thorough oral hygiene routine. Trust us to guide your teen toward a lifetime of optimal oral health.

  • Infant Exams

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that parents and healthcare providers help every child establish a dental home by twelve months of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventative and routine oral health care. Seeing a child by twelve months of age provides critical opportunities to educate parents and establish proper dental health practices that reduce a child’s risk of preventable dental disease.

At your child's first appointmment, our team will review proper diet, age-appropriate hygiene, and go over pacifier use to make sure your child’s oral health starts strong and stays strong.

  • Teeth Cleaning

Regular preventive dental care plays a vital role in maintaining your child's oral health. Biannual professional cleanings enable us to take proactive steps towards ensuring optimal dental hygiene. Our skilled dental hygienists utilize specialized tools to meticulously remove plaque and tartar buildup from your child's teeth. Following the thorough cleaning, the teeth are gently polished to eliminate surface stains. During this visit, our hygienists also assess for signs of gingivitis and provide personalized tips to enhance your child's oral health. Committing to routine cleanings helps prevent dental issues and supports a healthy, vibrant smile.

  • Fluoride

Fluoride is a natural mineral that is often referred to as nature’s cavity fighter. This amazing mineral strengthens the tooth’s enamel, making it more resistant to tooth decay. Using fluoride toothpaste and drinking fluoridated water are great practices to ensure you recieving a sufficient amount of fluoride. Professional fluoride treatments are also an effective method to fight against tooth decay, strengthen enamel, and help children develop healthy teeth.

  • Sealant

Sealants dramatically reduce the number of cavities that may develop during childhood. Deep grooves run into the center of the teeth on the chewing surface of the molars. If the grooves in permanent molars are sealed at a young age, the risk of decay developing on the chewing surfaces dramatically decreases. The sealant material fills in the grooves to create a smooth surface and make the biting surface easier for little ones to clean. The resin material flowed over the grooves is quickly sealed with a blue activating light. Within a few minutes, your child’s teeth are protected against cavities. Sealants last several years and may need to be repaired or replaced periodically. But research confirms a 90% reduction in tooth decay along the chewing surface in sealed molars.

  • Oral Cancer Screening

Early detection and treatment of oral cancer can significantly increase your chances of a quick and complete recovery. At every hygiene visit, we examine all the tissues of the mouth, including gums, cheeks, lips, and tongue. If we suspect any unusual changes in the mouth tissue, we may suggest a biopsy and microscopic analysis by a qualified lab.

  • Sports Mouthguards

It’s estimated that over 20 million children take part in one after-school sport or another. With that amount of children engaging in sports and other activities like skiing, gymnastics, and martial arts, there is a higher chance of injury. Did you know that up to 20% of these injuries are due to fractured or otherwise damaged teeth? Our team can create a sports mouthguard for your child to protect their smile. After an impression of your child’s teeth is taken, they will fabricate a new mouthguard molded to custom-fit their unique smile.

Oral Condition Treatment

Conservative dental care for optimal wellness
  • Pediatric Restorative Dentistry

If your child needs restorative treatment, we will create a custom treatment plan for your child and review all treatment options with you before treatment begins. Our team will ensure that your child stays comfortable throughout their appointment and provide the best care possible to them.

  • Fillings

If tooth decay does sneak into your child's smile, fillings are a minimally invasive procedure to eliminate decay and restore little smiles to full health. In this routine treatment, we will inject an anesthetic near the tooth to numb the area. Then, we will use a dental drill to remove any decay present in the area and fill in the carved-out space with a dental restoration material.

  • Crowns

Dental crowns can restore its strength and appearance if a child’s tooth is damaged or weakened. In this procedure, we’ll gently prepare the tooth by removing any decay or damaged areas. After numbing the area with a local anesthetic, we’ll shape the tooth and place a custom-made crown over it, protecting the tooth and reinforcing your child’s smile with a durable, natural-looking solution.

  • Extractions

When a child’s tooth is too damaged or decayed to save, a gentle extraction may be necessary to protect their overall oral health. During this procedure, we will first administer a local anesthetic to ensure your child remains comfortable throughout the process. Once the area is numbed, we will carefully and skillfully remove the affected tooth to prevent any further complications. After the extraction, we’ll provide detailed aftercare instructions to help your child recover smoothly. Our goal is to ensure that your child’s mouth heals properly while laying the groundwork for a healthy and confident smile.

  • Periodontal Hygiene Cleaning

Pediatric periodontal hygiene cleanings are essential for maintaining healthy gums and preventing more serious issues for children at risk of gum disease. During this gentle treatment, we’ll thoroughly clean your child’s gums and teeth, removing plaque and tartar buildup that brushing alone can’t reach. By keeping their gums healthy and free from infection, we help protect your child’s smile and overall well-being, setting the foundation for lifelong oral health.

  • Teeth Grinding Treatment

Teeth grinding, or bruxism, is a common concern among children that can lead to dental issues and discomfort. We specialize in diagnosing and managing bruxism to protect your child's teeth and oral health. Our team conducts thorough assessments to identify the underlying causes of teeth grinding, which can range from stress to misaligned teeth. We offer personalized treatments such as custom mouthguards to protect teeth during sleep and strategies to alleviate stress and reduce grinding habits. With our comprehensive approach, we aim to help your child maintain healthy teeth and a comfortable smile.

  • Frenectomies

A frenum or frenulum is a small piece of tissue that attaches either the upper lip to the gum tissue or the tongue to the floor of the mouth. In some children, this frenum or frenulum is attached too tightly and can pull on the lips or gums causing tongue-tie, problems nursing, speech issues, and other concerns. During a frenectomy, we make a small incision in the frenum or frenulum, allowing for greater movement of the lips. Results are instant.

I wish this was my dentist office!! I remember as a child, I would be waiting SO LONG to be seen. But they don't make you wait AT ALL. You're in and out so quick and don't need to spend all day in there. As quick as they are, they check your teeth out throughly and it feels so reassuring.
